There was a night I sat on the floor next to the crib and just cried.
Not because my baby was crying, she had finally passed out after an hour of fighting.
I cried because I was completely spent.
Physically. Emotionally. Mentally.

I had tried everything.
The dark room.
The perfect wake windows.
The lullabies.
The holding.
The “just one more night.”

But nothing seemed to work.
And all I could think was:
