The Gentle Sleep Way

There is another way – it’s The Gentle sleep way

To work on sleep is probably one of the hardest choices any parent has to make…

Ask any mom who has signed up for a sleep coaching program! Especially if you struggle with hearing your baby cry. Usually the decision is easier when you’ve been sleep deprived for a couple of months and things are just not looking up.

So is sleep deprivation really that bad?

You’ve probably heard about the impacts of sleep deprivation and what it does to you and your baby – but can it really be that bad!? Yup, after being diagnosed with PostPartum Depression four years after the birth of my first child, I’m fully certain that it contributed about 50% to that. After sleeping 8 hour nights for a whole week guess how I felt? Like a whole person again…

Hearing your child cry can really trigger all sorts of feelings and leave you feeling breathless and anxious. Especially if you have been sleep deprived for a while now, and that’s why we’re happy to tell you there is another way…

The Gentle Sleep Way!

Sleep Training / Coaching / Learning / Sleep without Sleep training and even The Gentle Sleep Way all works on changing the way your little one falls asleep and stays asleep, and we can tell you with 100% certainty that if you have a sensitive child, especially sensitive to change, there will be tears.

No matter how gradual you approach it. Any change brings with it tears. It might be one night or it might be spread over a series of nights. But if you are equipped and feel confident in what you are doing we wholeheartedly believe that the whole process will be easier for you.

We believe…

In anchoring the connection with your little one first and creating predictable rhythms to help them feel secure. By implementing changes gradually and introducing them gently and allowing your little one to co-regulate with you through the entire process, the change is more bearable for them and you!

Babies come into this world with their own temperaments and personalities, just as we have specific preconceived ideas about the way we would like to parent. By considering this in the way we introduce changes we allow you to tune in and nurture them to better sleep.

Have you done the temperament quiz yet? Check it out now…

At Brave Little Baby we believe that sleep is more than just self soothing, and we really need to consider the whole child in the dance to sleep.

Good sleep starts the moment your child wakes up in the morning:
  • Did they have a good night’s sleep?
  • How did they drink & eat during the day?
  • Are they a bit more fussy than usual?
  • How was their stimulation over the course of the day?
  • Did they have regular and restorative naps?
  • Did they have enough connection points in their day?
  • How are you feeling today?
  • Have you made any big changes recently?

When we consider all of this we can get a more clear picture of how we need to adjust and what we need to implement to make a change and get your whole family more rest.

Because we believe that you and baby need and deserve the best night sleep!
